Capturing the Ephemeral

Capturing the Ephemeral

In these series, my interest in the relationship between art and science developed. I had cast vessels to explore notions of breathing, filling, emptying, pouring, and holding.  This three-dimensional  wire drawing and printed text refer both to scientific notation, diagramming, and the hand of the artist in attempting to capture ephemeral phenomena. They add another layer to the process of investigation and understanding, a continuum between art and science.
